I needed a thinking of you card, and decided to pull out the More Amore DSP. Unfortunately, I can’t take anymore credit than that. I CASE’d the card from the Muse My World blog http://www.musemyworld.com/muse-my-world-stampin/2013/01/stampin-up-card-more-amore.html. Please head over and take a look at her work.
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter
Inks: StazOn Black
Paper: Pool Party, Very Vanilla, DSP More Amore
Other: Pool Party Baker’s Twine
I have never done the triple time technique before, but I had been wanting to try it. The card turned out pretty well, except I don’t like how the words blended in too much with the green. I had already spent way too much time on this, so I decided to leave it and correct when I make another one. The technique was pretty simple, the sizes of the very vanilla are 4″ x 5.25″ , 3″ x 4.25″, and 2″ x 3.25″. The Primrose petal was cut a 1/4″ larger for each dimension. I used a very very small piece of painters tape to hold my layers together while I stamped.
Hope you enjoy.
Stamps: Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Summer starfruit, primrose petal, gumball green
Paper: Primrose petal, very vanilla
As I mentioned before, now is the time it seem of many birthdays. The next one on my list is my younger brother. For some reason, cards for boys are always my hardest. This one I totally CASE’d from here http://carefreecreations.haman.us/2012/08/birthday-ride/comment-page-1/#comment-18522
I used the Summer Afternoon set, as well as my stampin’ write markers and sponge daubers.
Don’t forget, any orders and all in April, get a free annual catalog in May when it is published..
Boy, there are alot of birthdays in April and May. I’ve better get busy. So stay tuned for some cool cards over the next couple of weeks.
First, here is the card for my best friend. I love how the colors turned. I used the hostess set “A Cherry on Top”. Also, I finally got a chance to play with my new heat tool and Stampin’ Glitter. The Heat & Stick powder worked so much better than the glue I used before.
So without further ado, here it is….
And don’t forget, any orders from my online store and through me in April will result in you getting the brand new annual catalog in the mail when it is published (free from me, a $5.56 value)
It’s that exciting time of year before Stampin’ Up! puts out its new Annual Catalog. Anyone who orders from either me or my website this month, I will sign you to get a FREE catalog when they mail on May 1. No minimum order needed to get the free catalog. As many of you know, the Stampin’ Up! Catalog is full of amazing creations, colors and ideas to help encourage your creativity.
Announcing our Color Refresh! We love color and we know that you do too. Color is fundamental to who we are and what we offer. It’s important for us to stay up-to-date with color trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colors, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities!
Why now? In 2010, Stampin’ Up! did a big color renovation and shared their plans for smaller color refreshes every three to five years to keep the colors on trend. Well it has been three years and they are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalog will include 10 new colors (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favorites, moving some colors around, and introducing one brand-new color, so take a look!
Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued color products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period. We did anticipate increased demand and based our forecasts for these retiring colors on historical sales information from previous color transitions. However, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone–including you in your own business and personal purchases. We encourage you to let your customers know that any of our retiring color products are only available while supplies last so they can get their favorites and look forward to the exciting colors coming in the 2013-2014 annual catalog. And also announced today, free shipping is going on April 6-8, 2013, which would be a great time for you and your customers to get your favorites before they are gone! (Free shipping is for North America only.)
Want to get some of the new color products for FREE? Watch for more information on April 12 for an exciting opportunity to get the new amazing colors for free.
Hope everyone is enjoying this amazing spring weather! I’ve been having fun crafting, but too busy for posts. I promise to try and get better. Now that the weather has finally changes, I feel so much more energized. My cousin had a baby recently and as I was running to the post office to mail her present, I realized that I forget to make her a card (Big Duh on my part- this is what I do). So with only ten minutes, this was what I whipped. I went with the Easy Event Set which is one of my go-tos. Sorry that it isn’t the best picture.
Don’t forget, we this month’s technique class is on masking. We are offering it twice, both times at Seacoast Sewing Center. It is January 15 at 11 am and January 23 at 5 pm. Classes will be approximately one hour and are only $12. We will be learning the technique. You will get a instructional page to keep and practice the technique as well as a card to send with the technique. I am working on perfecting it now and here is the result. Not perfect but I like it.
I promised a sneak peek of the Secret Garden stamp which is brand new in the Spring 2013 catalog and here it is. If you want to have your own stamp set and make this card along with 2 other projects, sign up for the class by January 2. More information is under the Classes tab at the top or feel free to email me.
My husband was in charge getting presents for his 5 nieces and nephews. He decided to start shopping today when we need to gifts by tomorrow. After becoming fustrated by the crowds at the stores, he took the typical guy approach by stopping at a bank and deciding to give them all cash. Since I had a certain reputation to uphold, I decided to at least make up some nice money cards. I used the No Peeking Stamp set and leftover Be Of Good Cheer DSP. The solid colors are Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. I copied the design from Dawn’s Stamping Studio (http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2008/08/money-card.html)
I think they turned out pretty well for last minute. What do you think?
